Job Title: Material Programme Manager


Location: High Wycombe Area


Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Materials Manager to join our dynamic team. If you have a strategic mindset, strong planning experience, and the ability to lead in a collaborative environment then this could be the role for you


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute material programme plans and subcontract management plans.
  • Formulate material strategies and apply them to programmes.
  • Participate in bids and proposals and incorporating material strategies.
  • Manage material actual cost versus the projected cost.
  • Make informed decisions in the make/buy/where process.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create project schedules based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Lead proposal activities, including task descriptions and bases of estimates.
  • Develop accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and control changes during the proposal process.
  • Provide precise materials estimates as required.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Programmes and Engineering to handle obsolescence, long lead times and last-time buy material situations.
  • Create and implement risk/opportunity plans.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient planning experience.
  • Experience in using both ERP/MRP business systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Effectively managing budgets, providing insights and sharing your understanding as needed.
  • Familiarity with EAC inputs and reviews.
  • Working closely with Subcontract Managers and other relevant stakeholders to review statements of work.
  • Experience working with hardware applications and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • The ability to translate business area and customer requirements into actionable strategies.
