About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team at Salvation Army Homes, covering casual shifts at our FreshStart service. As a Relief Support Worker, you will work with individuals who are or have recently experienced homelessness, providing support and accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop trusting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and goals.
  • Unlock clients' potential by encouraging independence, social integration, and participation in activities.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks and provide emotional support when needed.
About the Candidate

We seek a motivated and compassionate individual who shares our values and commitment to transforming lives. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to build professional relationships, and demonstrate empathy towards vulnerable individuals.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with homeless people or supporting vulnerable groups.
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotas as required.
  • Good knowledge of housing services and support systems.
