Are you a motivated and experienced individual with a passion for supporting the development of children in care? We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at SGS Care Ltd, based at one of our residential homes in Winsford, Cheshire.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career in residential child care. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for forming part of an experienced team around a child, creating a safe space for their development, learning, and flourishing.

You will work closely with the home manager to develop and implement policies and procedures that meet the needs of our young people. You will also supervise a team of residential support workers, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working in residential child care, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and good communication skills. You should be IT proficient and hold a valid UK driving licence for manual vehicles.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive 33 days annual leave, inclusive of public holidays, and access to a fully funded development pathway to your Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
