Lead Practitioner of English

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced teacher to take on the role of Lead Practitioner of English at our Lewisham Academy. As part of a small Trust of schools working together to achieve excellence, we aim to provide a supportive environment that fosters growth and development for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage the English curriculum, ensuring high standards are maintained and achieved.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes and attainment in English.
  • To work closely with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices across the academy.
  • To contribute to the development of the academy's education policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong track record of leadership and management experience in a school setting.
  • An excellent understanding of curriculum design and delivery.
  • The ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to drive improvements.
