We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated English Educator with a flair for leadership and a drive for excellence to lead the English curriculum at Aldridge Education. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the English curriculum forward, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning across the department.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of the English curriculum, assessment, and strategies for driving student progress. They will also be able to develop and implement creative teaching methods that engage and motivate students.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve student outcomes in English
- Leading and managing the English department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Collaborating with colleagues to design and deliver professional development opportunities
- Curriculum Expertise: Ensure deep knowledge of the English curriculum, including Key Stage 3 National Curriculum and AQA Key Stage 4 Secondary Specifications for Language and Literature
- Teaching and Learning: Develop and implement creative teaching methods that engage and motivate students
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the English department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Education: Qualified Teacher Status, Relevant Degree, Experience of teaching in the 11-16 sector
- Experience: Prioritise, plan and organise, Act as a role model for pupils and staff by setting high personal and professional standards, Motivate and inspire pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
