As the Head of English at Wayman Group in Kensington, you will be responsible for driving academic excellence and implementing an exceptional English curriculum. We are seeking a visionary leader who can inspire students and staff while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role
  • Provide strategic leadership and management for the English department
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging English curriculum
  • Oversee the professional development of teachers in the English department
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing strategies for improvement
  • Collaborate with other academic leaders to enhance cross-curricular initiatives
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and technology within the department
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding students' academic performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in English education
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
  2. Teaching certification and significant experience in teaching English
  3. Proven leadership experience, ideally as a Head of English or in a similar role
  4. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum and assessment practices
  5. Strong leadership and management skills
  6. Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
  9. Passion for English education and dedication to academic excellence

Competitive salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
