Empowering Postgraduate Researchers in the Arts

The University of Glasgow offers a range of postgraduate scholarships to support talented students in their research pursuits. Our scholarships provide a unique opportunity for individuals to develop their skills and knowledge in a world-class institution.

Our university is renowned for its academic excellence, with a strong reputation for research and innovation. We are proud to be ranked nineteenth best in the world and first in Scotland for our positive impact on society.

Our four innovative Schools within the College of Arts & Humanities offer a diverse range of programs, including:

  • School of Critical Studies: Creative Writing, English Language and Linguistics, English Literature, Scottish Literature, Theology and Religious Studies
  • School of Culture and Creative Arts: Film & Television Studies, History of Art, Music, Theatre Studies, Conservation and Cultural Heritage Research, Cultural Policy Research, Creative Arts and Industries

We have a range of facilities available to our students, including the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, Kelvin Hall, and the digital collections of the National Library of Scotland.

To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and typically hold a 2:1 honours degree or its international equivalent.

We offer a number of bursaries and competitively allocated scholarships for students commencing full-time postgraduate taught programmes at Glasgow in September 2024. These scholarships are available for deserving applicants to undertake a full-time postgraduate master's degree programme with the University of Glasgow.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
