Research and Teaching Position in Creative Writing

**Job Opportunity:**
The University of Glasgow invites applications for a Research and Teaching Position in Creative Writing. This is a full-time, open-ended position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the university's research-led and scholarly approach to student learning and assessment in the discipline of creative writing.**Key Responsibilities:** The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and progressing individual/joint research projects of international standard in the subject area with the support of a mentor, as required. They will also contribute to the planning, organisation and delivery of teaching on undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses within the subject area in accordance with the subject's priorities. Additionally, they will engage in continuing professional development activities as appropriate.
**Requirements:** A PhD or equivalent professional and/or teaching experience in a similar or related role is essential. The successful candidate must have sufficient breadth and/or depth of knowledge in the discipline of creative writing and of teaching methods and techniques to work within the subject area. They must also be able to communicate material of a specialist or highly technical nature and to be effective both orally and in writing at a level appropriate to the activity. Furthermore, they should have a developing track record of research outputs compatible with enhancing the School's research profile in accordance with School objectives.
**Salary and Benefits:** The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £39,347 - £44,263 per annum (Grade 7) and access to a flexible approach to working.
