Fetal Monitoring Specialist Midwife

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fetal Monitoring Specialist Midwife to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance in fetal monitoring, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and guidance in fetal monitoring, ensuring compliance with best practice and national guidelines.
- Develop and implement education and training programs for midwives and obstetricians on fetal monitoring and CTG interpretation.
- Lead weekly CTG workshops and maintain attendance registers to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Suite Obstetric Consultant to develop and implement an audit form for reviewing emergency births and instrumental deliveries.
- Contribute to the development of a learning organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Registered Midwife with a BSc or Degree in Midwifery.
- ENB 997 or equivalent/mentorship qualification evidence of continuing professional development.
- Fetal monitoring masterclass attendance (physiological CTG interpretation).
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing/leading change in practice.
- Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize workload and delegate.
