Job Summary
This is a clinical leadership role for a Fetal Monitoring Specialist Midwife at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of fetal monitoring practices and ensuring that all midwives and obstetricians providing antenatal care are competent in assessing fetal wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead weekly CTG workshops and maintain attendance registers to ensure compliance for midwives and medical staff.
- Provide teaching and support for staff who need to repeat the competency test.
- Develop an audit form for reviewing emergency births, instrumental and caesarean sections, and disseminate learning which emerges from workshops.
- Contribute to the development of a learning organisation and identify own training and professional development needs to maintain clinical credibility.
