SEN Support Assistant

Location:

Birmingham area

Daily Rate:

£95-£105 per day, estimated salary £31,300-£35,000 per year.

Contract:

Long Term to Permanent, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to pupils with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs, including those with physical or learning disabilities, autism, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Providing one-to-one support or working with small groups, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials and resources as required.
  • Monitoring and recording pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents as required.
Essential Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
