Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Needs Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with diverse learning difficulties, providing tailored support to enhance their academic and personal growth.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is £12.90 per hour, reflecting the importance of your role in supporting students' educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, fostering engagement with the curriculum.
  • Monitor student progress and offer constructive feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, promoting positive interactions.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Participate in training and professional development sessions related to Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (desired but not required).
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in various situations and student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS and Educational Workforce Council (EWC) registration – Teaching Personnel can assist with applications.
  • Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
