Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs in a supportive and welcoming school in Newport.

About the Role
  • Provide 1:1 support to children struggling with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and help students understand instructions.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning and support plans.
  • Work alongside the classroom teacher and SEN team to create a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Support pupils with ALN in their academic development, social, and emotional growth.
  2. Implement strategies to promote inclusivity and accessibility in the classroom.
  3. Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Salary and Benefits

Our competitive salary is between £425 and £475 per week. Additionally, we offer secure, long-term work and a refer-a-friend scheme where you can earn up to £125 for every person you recommend to us.

Requirements
  • Experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting is essential.
  • Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils is desirable.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) is also necessary.
