Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Support Worker to join our team in Newmarket. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting people with disabilities and share our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest, and strong. You should be a patient and resilient individual who is willing to invest time in getting to know the people we support and understand what care best supports their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing active support to enable individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Assisting with health and well-being, including personal care and medication management.
  • Supporting with daily living tasks, such as cooking and household chores.
  • Accompanying individuals on leisure activities, promoting social inclusion and community participation.
  • Promoting independence and self-advocacy, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a full clean driving licence and have experience working with individuals with disabilities. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a patient and empathetic approach to supporting others.

Salary

The salary for this role is £11.75 per hour.
