Academic Learning Support Specialist

Role Overview:
As a Special Needs Education Consultant with 1st Staff Limited, you will be working in the Newmarket area with students who have missed education for an extended period. Your primary goal will be to deliver tailored tuition sessions that boost these students' confidence and academic level, enabling them to rejoin further education.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on each student's needs
- Foster strong relationships with students and promote a positive learning environment
- Prior experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or SEMH and challenging behaviours
- Able to adapt lesson plans according to individual needs
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Competitive hourly rate: £30 per hour
- Flexible scheduling: 3 hours/day, 5 days/week (school hours)
- Ongoing support from dedicated consultants and lead tutors
- Access to Maths, English, and behavioural specialists
- Pension scheme available
We offer part-time and full-time work opportunities, allowing for some flexibility in scheduling due to the proximity of students' locations. Having your own transport is not mandatory but would be beneficial.
