About the Job:

We are seeking an Applications Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Oxford Instruments Plc. As an Applications Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical onsite and remote support and training to customers across our product range of analytical equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance visits.
  • Provide onsite assistance to customers to resolve instrument breakdowns.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer issues.
Requirements:

This role requires a Science Degree/PhD preferably in Electronics, Physics, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Chemistry. Experience of running TEM/SEM would be advantageous, but not essential. A sound understanding of electronic pc-based systems and problem-solving abilities are also required.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 12:30 Friday finishes, BUPA private health insurance, dental insurance, group pension, cycle to work scheme, tech scheme, car scheme, give-as-you-earn, option to purchase shares, numerous discounts, and 25 days holiday.
