About the Role
This Tertiary NICU Resident Physician position is an exciting opportunity for doctors with some paediatric experience at tier 1 level to develop their skills in tertiary neonatal intensive care medicine. Working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and transitional care at Derriford Hospital, you will contribute to the management and delivery of care to local and regional neonates.

Key Responsibilities
- Working in a team environment to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participating in clinical audits and developing clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Involvement in quality improvement programmes and educational activities.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients on NICU, TCW, and the post-natal ward. You will be expected to undertake NIPE examinations and complete basic neonatal procedures (cannulation, phlebotomy, airway manoeuvres).

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should also be able to convey sensitive information to parents and form strong relationships with other healthcare professionals.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is approximately £39,622 - £47,132 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including flexible working hours and access to professional development opportunities.
