Production Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products, managing production planning and control, and leading a team of production staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimise production efficiency through quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Supervise, train, and coach production staff to ensure they understand and achieve their production plan objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and ISO procedures.
  • Oversee quality control and provide feedback on quality improvement areas to directors.
  • Manage and issue orders to suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement programs.
  • Manage time, attendance, and disciplinary records.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and maintain organised records.
  • Be responsible for stock control.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven supervisory experience in batch and process manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of working in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 workplaces with a high level of H&S and COSHH standards.
  • Experience in people management, from training to disciplinaries.
  • A proactive, people-centric, and solution-oriented approach, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
