Job Summary

Production Resource Group is seeking a skilled Rigging Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Rigging Team, you will assist the Rigging Manager in preparing rigging equipment and metalwork to the Company's standards and within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Rigging Team to prepare, clean, verify, test, and return rigging equipment and hardware.
  • Check equipment in as directed by the Rigging Manager, ensuring accurate reconciliation on the WINHITS database.
  • Assist in show preparation of equipment orders and maintain an acceptable working pace in the department.
  • Identify common faults within the prep process and report to the Rigging Manager.
  • Update stock orders through the WINHITS database and inform the Rigging Manager of any shortages of equipment or consumables for forthcoming jobs.
  • Support the Rigging Manager with routine maintenance and repair of equipment, including maintenance spraying of truss, pipe, and fabricated equipment as required.
  • Assist with regular truss inspections and accurate recording, and maintain service inspection records for control systems if required.
  • Ensure the Company's quality standards are maintained at all times and stay up-to-date with the latest technology within the department.
  • Adhere to the LEAN process and maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of the industry and previous experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Competent in using workshop tools and equipment safely.
  • Good understanding of the Company's product range and procedures.
  • Previous experience with preparing and testing rigging and control equipment would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of electric chain hoist mains and basic electricity.
  • Ability to learn and retain information in a reasonable time frame.
  • Conscientious with a good eye for detail.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality. The ability to work under pressure and as part of a team is essential.
