Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
  • Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reconciliations, to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and effective manner
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure flawless execution of warehouse operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity
  • Assist in training and mentoring new warehouse team members as needed
  • Support other departments and perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is accepted
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required
