Position Overview: Lifting Equipment Maintenance Engineer at Production Resource Group
The Lifting Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the upkeep, examination, and repair of lifting apparatus and chain hoists, adhering to the UK Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER). This position is crucial for ensuring the secure and efficient functioning of lifting devices utilized in diverse industrial environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of lifting apparatus.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively to prepare, clean, test, and restore equipment to meet Company standards.
- Conduct initial assessments and modifications to ensure equipment aligns with operational specifications.
- Perform regular comprehensive inspections of lifting equipment and chain hoists to ensure compliance with LOLER regulations.
- Execute load and functional testing to verify equipment safety.
- Maintain precise inspection documentation.
- Organize materials systematically on racks, shelves, and designated locations.
- Assist with inventory management and shipping/receiving operations.
- Process equipment requests and promptly report any damaged items.
- Inform supervisors of equipment shortages for upcoming assignments.
- Verify the condition of sub-hired equipment upon receipt and return.
- Consistently uphold quality standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in departmental technology.
- Follow LEAN process principles.
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean and orderly.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as necessary.
- Apply safe lifting practices.
- Comply with Company policies and procedures.
