About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAMHS Duty Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments and interventions to children, young people, and their families in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct full clinical assessments of children, young people, and their families, including those referred to CAMHS in various settings.
- Manage a clinical caseload, comprising assessments and ongoing direct therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their parents/carers.
- Regularly discuss clinical issues and concerns with the CAMHS Team Leader, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and colleagues regarding ongoing therapeutic work.
Requirements
- Registered professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, OT, or other equivalent qualification.
- Relevant post-qualifying experience of working within children and families, including significant post-registered qualification experience with children, adolescents, and families in the area of mental health.
- Evidence of experience working in a community setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of carrying out comprehensive assessments and care plans.
- Evidence of collaborative working with other services.
- Evidence of experience and/or training in supervising staff.
