Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAMHS Duty Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments and interventions to children, young people, and their families in a variety of settings.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct full clinical assessments of children, young people, and their families referred to CAMHS, including weekend and evening shifts.
- Manage a clinical caseload, comprising assessments and ongoing direct therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their parents/carers.
- Collaborate with other agencies, social services, and education to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced registered professional to work within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). You will work as a Senior CAMHS Practitioner within a multidisciplinary team, offering full assessments, intervention, and evaluation of mental health care to children, young people, and their families.
Person Specification
- Registered professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, OT, or other equivalent qualification.
- Post-registration qualification in child and adolescent mental health or qualification in therapeutic approaches with children, young people, parents, or carers.
- Relevant post-qualifying experience of working within children and families, including experience in a community setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
