This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

As this is a part-time position, the salary will be pro-rata.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. This means that you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.

The post holder will be responsible for leading a team of occupational therapists in the provision of highly specialised clinical rehabilitation services across the southeast of Scotland. They will be responsible for maximising service provision, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, and adhering to local and national guidelines and targets.

The post holder will have a clinical caseload in one or two of the services that will occupy the majority of their time. They will act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service(s).

The role is a job share and ranges from 0.5 to 0.7 WTE. For further information on what is included in the role and what skills and experience are required, please refer to the job description and person specification.

Based on the requirements of the role and the location, the estimated salary for this position is between £42,329 and £62,101 per annum, depending on the specific working hours and the post holder's level of experience.
