This is a part-time post of 29.7 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 4 days over 7. The salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.
We are delighted to be advertising this 0.8 wte band 6 Forensic Occupational Therapist post within our highly motivated and innovative FCMH team. Initially working within the Forensic Community Learning Disabilities team, the post holder will be an independent expert forensic practitioner managing a variety of conditions which are often complex and challenging.
The post holder will:
- Provide specialist professional advice to other disciplines, carers, and agencies.
- Engage with the wider multi-disciplinary team and work across agencies to deliver packages of care in the role of occupational therapist.
- Require a good knowledge of Occupational Therapy input into risk assessment & risk management, offender behaviour work, and psycho-social interventions.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of the occupational therapy service within their designated area with reference to clinical governance, clinical effectiveness, and national policies and drivers.
- Lead on departmental and team projects.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of junior staff as part of supervision systems, including clinical workload and supervision of under and postgraduate pre-registration students as required.
- Be involved in the education of other staff and agencies.
Requirements:
- You must be Registered with the HCPC.
- Driving licence is essential for this post due to the wide geographical area covered across the whole of NHSGGC.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
