Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Southeast Mobility and Rehabilitation Technology Services (SMART) as a Team Lead for the Assessment Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical, professional, and managerial leadership of their area of responsibility, including clinical and staff governance issues, and staff training and development for three therapy teams.

The post holder will have a clinical caseload in one or two of the three services and will act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and onward referral to a complex range of patients.

The role is a job share and requires the post holder to work between 0.5 and 0.7 WTE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the therapy teams
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local and national guidelines and targets
  • Manage a clinical caseload and provide expert clinical advice and support to other clinicians

Requirements:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a relevant qualification and experience
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
