Job Overview


The Community Speech and Language Therapy Team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Band Therapist to join our friendly and supportive team in a full-time permanent post.


This role will involve working across the Adult Learning Disability (ALD) Team and our Paediatric Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Team, providing assessment and treatment of communication and dysphagia for patients with learning disabilities needs in the community.


Main Duties



  • Assess and treat patients with learning disabilities needs in the community.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, their families, and carers as part of the integrated community learning disability team.
  • Provide training in communication and dysphagia to patients with learning disabilities, their carers, and their families as required.
  • Support the service development and transition of patients from ALN to ALD services.
  • Collaborate with families, education colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
