About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrolyte Formulation Expert to join our research team in Oxford. As a key member of our Applied Research department, you will lead the development of next-generation electrolyte formulations and separator materials for Li-ion batteries.

With a strong background in electrochemistry and materials science, you will design and synthesise advanced electrolyte compositions and separator materials that enhance battery safety, efficiency, and energy density. Your expertise in ionic conductivity, stability, and compatibility will be crucial in advancing our materials that support high energy density, fast-charging capabilities, and extended lifecycle needs.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth R&D on electrolyte compositions and separator materials to improve ionic conductivity, stability, and compatibility.
  • Develop and test advanced electrolyte and separator materials to support high energy density, fast-charging capabilities, and extended lifecycle needs.
  • Collaborate with cell development, materials, and process engineering teams to integrate advanced materials into prototypes and align on performance goals.

Our UK business headquarters is located in the Midlands, and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
