Electrochemical Materials Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrochemist – Li-ion Battery Cell to join our team at Agratas.
As an Electrochemist, you will play a critical role in the development of next-generation Li-ion battery materials and cells. You will lead research and development in electrochemical processes and material interactions to improve battery cell energy density, cycle life, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrochemical processes, cell reactions, and energy storage principles, with specific experience in Li-ion battery applications.
Responsibilities- Develop and refine electrode, electrolyte, and separator materials to enhance ionic conductivity, stability, and compatibility with next-gen battery chemistries.
- Conduct in-depth electrochemical testing, including cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, and charge/discharge cycling to evaluate material and cell performance.
- Analyze electrochemical data to identify performance trends and areas for optimisation, applying insights to enhance cell design and material formulations.
A competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, plus private healthcare, car allowance, company bonus, enhanced parental leave policy, and a cash allowance to boost your benefits.
