Job Title: Organisation Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Organisation Governance Specialist to join our team as Secretary to the Board.

The Chartered Association of Business Schools is a mission-led organisation that supports its members in delivering world-class education and impactful research. As an award-winning organisation, we require a governance professional with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the governance of our Council, Small Business Charter Management Board, and committees.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, produce papers, and follow up on actions.
  • Brief Chairs prior to meetings and take accurate minutes.
  • Educate and onboard trustees and committee members.
  • Monitor governance performance and identify best practice recommendations.
  • Organise the Annual General Meeting, prepare the AGM agenda, take minutes, facilitate voting, and file decisions with the relevant authorities.
  • Maintain and update bylaws, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Significant knowledge and experience of governance.
  • Experience working with Boards, committees, and senior executives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and experience managing compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under time pressure.

Salary and Benefits: Up to £59,850 per annum (full-time), with a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office and 2 WFH).
