About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Discounts and Waivers Specialist to join our team at Springer Nature. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting authors with discount and waiver requests, working closely with our Open Access Policy team to ensure timely and compliant application of policy-driven instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle discount requests for APCs in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records about discount codes and the discount process
  • Develop and interpret reports on volume and query types as required
  • Communicate updates to SNCS Management and work with policy teams as necessary
  • Keep SNCS teams informed of policy changes and updates
  • Provide feedback to SNCS management on issues encountered and suggest procedural changes to improve efficiency
  • Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks and maintain consistent and compliant application of policy-driven instructions
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Publishing teams to support campaigns
Requirements
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance
  • Proficient in common software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in providing high-quality customer service
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to identify issues and suggest solutions
  • Interest in ethical processes and principles, with a motivation towards best-practice excellence
  • Adaptability and a positive attitude towards change
Desirable Qualifications
  • Background or interest in science, publishing, or a related field
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
