Location: Carlisle

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to perform routine maintenance tasks, conduct repairs, and ensure the smooth operation of our equipment.

This role is ideal for a qualified professional with experience in mechanical engineering and a strong attention to detail. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Maintenance Task Execution: Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Conduct repairs and troubleshoot issues with machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective equipment operation and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong background in mechanical engineering and maintenance practices.
  • Experience working with mechanical equipment and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

We offer a competitive salary of £39,312 per annum, paid at £18.32 per hour, as well as:

  • Overtime opportunities available, paid at 1.5x for over 6 hours or a Sunday.
