Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team in Carlisle. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on various production lines, including mill machinery, biomass, and treatment plant.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a mechanical engineer within an industrial environment or similar, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components. Any relevant qualifications or certifications will be advantageous.

You will split your time between Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance, working on varied production lines and collaborating with a mixed team of electrical and mechanical engineers. Your primary focus will be on maintaining equipment, identifying potential issues, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on production lines, including mill machinery, biomass, and treatment plant.
  • Identify and report potential equipment issues, recommending corrective actions to prevent future problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of production processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Relevant industry experience as a mechanical engineer or equivalent role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly with colleagues and management.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software and record-keeping procedures.
