We are recruiting for an NVQ Apprentice to join our Royal Eye Infirmary team as an Administrative Services Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced administrative environment.

About the Role

As an Administrative Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the REI Administration Team, including:

  • Assisting the reception team with adding waiting lists, collating notes, processing outcomes, and prepping case notes.
  • Dealing with telephone and verbal enquiries from patients, relatives, consultants, other departments, and GP practices in a courteous manner, seeking advice when required.
  • Actively managing patients on a referral to treatment pathway, using the referral to treatment primary target list.

You will need to have demonstrable experience working with people, ability to work in a team environment, and good communication skills, written and verbal. A positive attitude, willingness to undertake further training and development, and the ability to use own initiative are also essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £17,000 - £20,000 per annum, based on national averages and taking into account the level of responsibility and qualifications required.
