The Western Bay Regional Adoption Service is committed to delivering high-quality services to children and families. As an Adoption Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the recruitment and assessment of adopters, ensuring that children are placed in stable and loving homes.

The Service consists of three operational functions: Recruitment and Assessment, Twin Tracking & Family Finding, and Adoption Support. You will be part of the Recruitment and Assessment function, working closely with a team of professionals to market, recruit, and assess adopters using the two-stage assessment process.

To succeed in this role, you will need significant relevant post-qualifying experience in children and young people's services, with a strong understanding of adoption work and processes. You must be registered with Social Care Wales and hold a recognized professional Social Work qualification. A willingness to work towards continuous professional development is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to the national adoption agenda. As a mobile hybrid worker, you will have the flexibility to work from home and various Council workplaces.
