About the Role

We are recruiting for a Senior MCA Practitioner, either 6-month fixed-term or secondment opportunity, to join our dynamic team. This is a unique chance for an experienced Clinician to further their specialist skills in the Mental Capacity Act and contribute to delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable patients.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians and managers at all levels, providing remote and face-to-face training, devising resources, and ensuring the trust meets the challenges of the MCA in various clinical and complex situations.

This role offers a high level of support from the team and encourages innovation and creativity in approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and support training programs for staff at all levels on the MCA.
  • Work closely with clinicians and managers to provide guidance and support on MCA-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and materials to aid staff in understanding and implementing the MCA.
  • Collaborate with the trust's leadership team to ensure compliance with the MCA and address any challenges that arise.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and individuals with complex needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and its applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including access to our occupational health services, flexible working schemes, and family-friendly policies.

Working Pattern

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
