Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (Mental Health) to join our team at Wonford House Hospital. This full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week on a ward that operates on a 24/7 shift basis.

As an Adult Mental Health Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to provide person-centered care to patients admitted to the Place of Safety (POS). You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote recovery and independence.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Leveraging your expertise to lead and motivate the team in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective risk assessment, risk management, and service development.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the evaluation of patient progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health).
  • A sound understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 (including updates) and the Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.
  • Experience of working with adults with mental health problems and knowledge of best practice within an Adult Inpatient Service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Estimated Salary

This position comes with an estimated salary of £31,900 - £41,400 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
