SEN Specialist Support Worker

The LTF Recruitment team is seeking an experienced SEN Specialist Support Worker to join a specialist school in Harrow, London. The ideal candidate will have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant diploma or equivalent level 4 qualification and relevant experience of supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH requirements.
Job Description
The successful applicant will support the growth of the school and teaching assistant team, planning, preparing and delivering assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individual, small groups and/or classes. They will establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils, promoting independence and personal development while maintaining high expectations of behaviour at all times.
Key Requirements
• Higher level teaching assistant diploma or equivalent level 4 qualification
• GCSE Pass above C (or 4 in the new GCSE system) in English and Maths
• Relevant knowledge of experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
• Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge
• Be positive and creative in assisting to meet pupils individual needs
Benefits
