Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-known multi-academy trust school in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will work with a group of students who require additional support in managing their emotions and behaviours.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans and strategies.
  • Develop coping strategies for students to manage their emotions and behaviours.
  • Foster a positive and structured classroom environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students to promote their social and emotional growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Caring and patient approach to supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.

Salary and Benefits:

A competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus opportunities for training and career progression.
