About the Role

The Project Engineer will provide technical leadership for marine-based projects, ensuring design solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering content for various marine projects, including leading project design teams, technical compliance, budget, and program management.
  • Ensure thorough project awareness from initial requirement specification to final customer acceptance.
  • Develop innovative design solutions within project timelines and budgets, including supporting calculations and analysis.
  • Establish and optimize product costs throughout the design evolution.
  • Provide technical input to bids and enquiries.
  • Solve problems experienced during equipment build and test in the workshop.
  • Support in-service issues.
  • Identify areas of risk in project delivery and plan mitigation work.
  • Assist in coordinating and driving risk management across design projects.
  • Ensure timely implementation of Lessons Learned within design project schedules.
Requirements
  • Experience with solid modeling design tools, including structural analysis using finite element modeling.
  • A flair for problem-solving and innovation, with a flexible approach to work activities.
  • Track record of creating and checking high-quality manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience in creating and checking high-quality production drawings.
  • Intermediate or more MS Office skills.
