Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and Technical Documentation: The Senior Design Engineer - Analysis will be responsible for producing high-quality analysis and technical documentation to support our engineering projects.
  • Methodology Development: Develop analysis methodologies and plans with project engineers to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Collaborate with design engineers to find solutions to design challenges identified through analysis.
  • Tool Management: Actively manage the company's analysis tools with support from the IT department, ensuring they are up-to-date and exploring additional tools to enhance analysis capabilities.
  • Peer Review and Quality Assurance: Organize and present internal peer reviews to ensure high-quality analysis and technical documentation.
  • Work Package Creation: Create analysis work packages for other design engineers.
  • Authorized Deliverables: Authorized to create or check analysis deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc or BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant apprenticeship with HNC.
  • Technical Expertise: Technical expertise in static and transient finite element analysis.
  • Verification and Validation: Proven track record of verification and validation of analysis undertaken through activities such as empirical data, traditional hand calculations, material testing, etc.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: A flair for problem-solving and innovation, with a flexible approach to work activities.
  • Technical Documentation: Track record of creating and checking technical documentation.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Microsoft Office skills.
