Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspirational Catering Manager to join our team at Musgrove Park Hospital. As a key member of our catering department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our food services and enhancing the patient experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective catering services to patients and visitors.
  • Support the strategic development of catering services across the Facilities Directorate.
  • Lead a team of up to 25 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Develop and implement menu planning with budgetary control, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance the catering service.

Person Specification
  • City & Guilds 706/2 or equivalent qualification in catering or a related field.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene (Level 3) certification.
  • Experience supervising in a catering environment, preferably in an NHS setting.
  • Knowledge of HACCP procedures, risk and budgetary management, and current catering legislation.
