Job Title: Academy Catering Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspirational Catering Manager to join our team at Musgrove Park Hospital. As a key member of our catering department, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing our food services to improve patient care and staff wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the introduction of new technologies to transform our catering services and achieve efficiencies across patient and retail services.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including menu planning with budgetary control, problem-solving, and effective data management.
  • Support strategic development of Catering Services across the Facilities Directorate.
Person Specification:Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds 706/2 or equivalent.
  • Basic Literacy & Numeracy.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene (Level 3).
Desirable:
  • Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4).
Experience:
  • Experience supervising in a catering environment, preferably in an NHS setting.
  • Experience of menu planning.
Additional Criteria:
  • Knowledge of a catering environment at supervisory level, including HACCP procedures, Risk and Budgetary Management.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of current Catering associated legislation.
