Operations Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Caridon Young Living. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of housing services for young adults in need of supported accommodation and floating support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of staff to deliver high-quality services to young people
  • Manage budgets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for young people
  • Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
  • Ensure the service is compliant with Ofsted National Standards and other relevant legislation
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the services, including staff supervision and performance management
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the organization

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 5 NVQ in Management with young people or equivalent
  • Experience in working within the relevant health and social care setting
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in children's settings
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing at a senior level
  • Understanding and knowledge of Safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Knowledge of Children's Rights and legislation

Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with some weekend and evening work as required. The post holder will also be required to work weekends as part of a rota and Bank Holidays when required.

Special Conditions:

This post requires the holder to have an Enhanced Disclosure & Baring Service check at all times. The post holder will be on call for the unit to assist with any emergencies or staff cover, and will be expected to attend the unit if required during unsociable hours.

Full Driving Licence Required:

A full driving licence is required for this role.
