About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site & Facilities Manager to join our team at Ann Pettengell. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our site, ensuring that all facilities and grounds are well-maintained and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of facilities and grounds staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
  • Maintenance and Upkeep: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all areas and buildings on site, including carpentry, plumbing, electrics, painting, and other general building maintenance tasks.
  • Procurement and Inventory: Procure and maintain all necessary equipment for the efficient operation of the site, ensuring that all essential services are available and functioning properly.
  • Site Security: Ensure that site security systems are up to date and in place, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Duty Management: Act as one of our Duty Managers on a shared rota basis, including weekend work, to ensure that the site is secure and operational at all times.
  • Project Coordination: Carry out various duties for Head Office and external company projects on a regular basis, working closely with other teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Service Standards: Ensure high service standards and employee productivity, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Woodland Management: Possess woodland management skills, including chainsaw tickets, and experience using horticultural machinery.
  • Building Maintenance: Have the ability to perform general building maintenance tasks to a good standard, including carpentry, plumbing, electrics, painting, and more.
  • Workload Prioritization: Be able to prioritize your workload around variables such as weather and emergencies.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess a proactive approach to an extensive, year-round task list, and be organized and driven.
  • Teamwork: Be a team player with a can-do attitude, open to working weekends and bank holidays.
  • Leadership: Have previous experience managing a team, and be able to work with a hands-on mentality to get projects over the line.
  • IT Literacy: Be IT literate and able to operate Microsoft Office 365.
  • Driving License: Possess a Full UK driving license.
  • Financial Management: Be able to work to a budget and annual targets.
  • References: Obtainable references from recent employers.
