Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a background in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal care, with a strong focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Main Responsibilities
- To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessments of patients with musculoskeletal conditions and complex physical and psychological needs.
- To develop and deliver individualized treatment programs, working autonomously and with supervision from specialist supervisors.
- To supervise and support Band 5 Physiotherapists, participate in their professional development, and educate physiotherapy students.
- To work effectively in a rotational environment, with 9 months on each rotation, and demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance.
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy, MCSP, and HCPC registration. Demonstrable CPD in musculoskeletal, respiratory, and orthopaedic care.
- Relevant experience in Band 5 rotations, including outpatients and orthopaedics, with a sound understanding of Clinical Governance.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a caseload, and supervise junior staff.
