Job Summary

This is a highly specialist role within the Paediatric Acute Physiotherapy service, requiring a clinical lead with advanced expertise in managing paediatric acute respiratory conditions, including PICU, post-surgical, liver disease, and orthopaedic problems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide leadership for daytime acute respiratory, post-surgical, liver, trauma, and orthopaedics patients as well as operational oversight of overnight and weekend emergency respiratory physiotherapy services. This is a key leadership position in a dynamic multidisciplinary team working out of the Children's Hospital at King's College Hospital in London.

Main Responsibilities

The postholder will be responsible for clinical leadership and service development within the paediatric physiotherapy services, shaping them to respond to growing and changing clinical landscapes. They will deliver treatment based on advanced theoretical and practical knowledge, providing supervision and clinical support to the inpatient acute paediatric physiotherapy team and students.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant post-graduate paediatric experience, including PICU, post-surgical, neurology, NIV, Major Trauma, musculoskeletal, and orthopaedics. You should also have highly specialist knowledge and experience of approaches to managing complex paediatric conditions in both acute and chronic presentations.
