This role is an exciting opportunity to join the ITV Studios Daytime programme publicity team as a Publicity Manager.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Publicity Manager to generate and manage ongoing publicity for This Morning and other daytime programmes and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement publicity strategies to cover all press, broadcast, and digital media to reach target audiences and beyond.
  • Work collaboratively with other areas of ITV Studios Daytime, the wider marketing team, social teams, and picture publicity to devise fully cohesive and innovative publicity campaigns.
  • Manage on-screen talent in relation to promotion around their programmes.
  • Manage crises and reputation management of ITV Daytime and its programmes.
  • Identify potential press issues and work with the team to devise appropriate action; write press information and press releases to tight deadlines.
  • Provide written press updates and evaluations for priority campaigns.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working as a publicity manager either in-house or for an agency.
  • Excellent news sense and a keen interest in news and current affairs.
  • First-class copywriting skills.
  • Excellent relevant contacts across a range of media including digital media, social, social media influencers, print, radio, and television.
  • Experience of publicising projects on social media and within the digital sphere and interest in innovations within that area.
  • Solid experience in crisis/reputation management and proven experience of working with high-profile on-screen talent.
  • Demonstrable creative and strategic thinking and a passion for exploring new ways of working.
  • Ability to identify good news stories and crisis situations.
  • Excellent personal and communication skills.
  • The ability to remain highly focused and flexible whilst working under pressure with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly articulate and informed.
  • Excellent understanding of the media industry and innovations in publicity.
