Publicity Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Publicity Manager to join our ITV Studios Daytime team. As a key member of our publicity team, you will be responsible for generating and managing ongoing publicity for our daytime programmes, including This Morning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute targeted publicity strategies to raise the profile of our daytime content.
  • Manage relationships with journalists, influencers, and other stakeholders to secure media coverage.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to devise fully cohesive and innovative publicity campaigns.
  • Manage on-screen talent in relation to promotion around their programmes.
  • Identify potential press issues and work with the team to devise appropriate action.
  • Write press information and press releases to tight deadlines.
  • Field and answer press inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working as a publicity manager either in-house or for an agency.
  • Excellent news sense and a keen interest in news and current affairs.
  • First-class copywriting skills.
  • Excellent relevant contacts across a range of media.
  • Experience of publicising projects on social media and within the digital sphere.
  • Solid experience in crisis/reputation management and working with high-profile on-screen talent.
  • Demonstrable creative and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to identify good news stories and crisis situations.
  • Excellent personal and communication skills.
