Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans, risk assessments, and safe work practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing thorough root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to the site team and contractors to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety protocols into the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with external bodies, including regulatory authorities and auditors, regarding health and safety matters.
Requirements:
- Diploma-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
- Proven experience in managing health and safety on large-scale civil engineering projects.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience working with a Tier One contractor is advantageous.
