Project Health and Safety Manager

TwoScore - HSEQ Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Project Health and Safety Manager to join our team for a major civil engineering project in Hull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans, risk assessments, and safe work practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing thorough root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to the site team and contractors to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety protocols into the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with external bodies, including regulatory authorities and auditors, regarding health and safety matters.

Requirements:

  • Diploma-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in managing health and safety on large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience working with a Tier One contractor is advantageous.
